Hangzhou Wahaha Schools is located in the core of Qianjiang New Town in Hangzhou, covering an area of 19550 square meters. It is composed of Wahaha Bilingual School Hangzhou and Wahaha International School. At present, there are more than 900 Chinese and foreign students and 147 teachers, of whom 44 are foreign teachers. It is an International school with Chinese characteristics, providing internationalized education that combines Chinese and the west.
From its inception, we have been committed to producing the next generation of ambassadors for China, global citizens who not only have a deep knowledge and understanding of Chinese culture and values but are also able to engage with the international community, make the distinct Chinese voice heard, and facilitate cultural and intellectual dialog.
Wahaha Bilingual School Hangzhou (WBS) was established in 2014 as a nine-year school under the Education Bureau of Zhejiang Province. With the nine-year national curriculum as our foundation, Wahaha Bilingual School integrates Chinese traditional culture, while introducing advanced internationalized education and teaching concepts and learning resources. We cultivate each student’s potential and independent learning skills to prepare them for their role as future leaders.
Wahaha International School (WIS) was established in July, 2015, following approval by the Education Department of ZheJiang province. WIS is a non-profit, English-language immersion international school located in Hangzhou, serving students in Kindergarten through Grade 9. In our state-of-the-art campus, we offer our students a rich, fully international, IB (International Baccalaureate) curriculum complemented by a strong and vibrant Chinese language and culture program. Through our unique WIS curriculum, we develop in our students the creativity, critical thinking and reasoning skills that are essential for success in today’s and tomorrow’s rapidly developing marketplace of ideas and innovation.
