We are looking for a homeroom teacher for grade 6 and grade 7 to join our school, the teacher must have an enthusiasm and passion of working with students. The position will commence in August 2021, the initial contract will be for a period of two years, and the contract is renewable.
Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
Develops schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established procedures.
Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
Provide appropriate feedback on work.
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulations.
Prepare required reports on students and activities.
Participate in department, school, district and parent meetings.
Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
Prepare classroom for class activities.
Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
Observe and evaluate student's performance and development.
Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments.
Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment.
Planning, preparing and presenting differentiated lessons that cater the needs of the whole ability range within their class.
Motivating students with enthusiastic, imaginative class activities.
Working collaboratively with others to plan and coordinate work.
Organising and taking part for school events, outings and activities.
Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc functions and related duties as and when required.
Have a Bachelor degree or above (Major in Education preferred)
Have more than 2 years relevant teaching experience
Candidates must be fully qualified for G6 and G7 homeroom teachers with excellent classroom practices and a love of teaching.
Have good communication skills with kids
Teach students in a way that enables them to achieve high standards of learning
Contribute towards the provision of a dynamic, creative international learning environment
Actively participate in the development of the school
Work co-operatively and supportively with all members of staff.
